Title - the counterintuitive mindset. The invisible skillset behind the top performers in the world of sport, acting, music & entertainment. Charcoal sketches of top performers, Roger Federer, Simone Biles, Tiger Woods, Madonna and Jack Nicholson

mindset:

The specific set of skills everyone needs to perform at their best, handle challenges and enjoy the process along the way.

This skillset is completely invisible from the outside, which makes it difficult to replicate to order.

Many of the skills are also completely counterintuitive.

They’re the opposite of what many people think ‘should’ work.

I’ve spent nearly twenty years working with highly skilled people in various fields to discover how they use their minds to produce great results.

Sportspeople I’ve worked with have won Commonwealth, European, World and Olympic medals.

I’ve worked in different sports such as track and field athletics, diving, BMX and golf. I've worked with athletes from both the British and Jamaican national teams ahead of setting world leading times and breaking national records.

I’ve coached actors who’ve appeared in TV series including STAR WARS - The Mandalorian (Lucasfilm/ Disney), Stargate Origins (MGM studios), Marvel Agents of SHIELD (ABC studios / Marvel Television) and Dr Who (BBC TV).

I’ve also enjoyed working with the next generation of performers at leading institutions including the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, the Royal College of Music and the London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art, LAMDA.

Acting clients have won roles with the Almeida Theatre and the Royal Shakespeare Company and appeared in musicals including Hamilton, Frozen and The Phantom of the Opera in London’s West End.

I've trained a variety of performers from the BBC whose specialist fields range from TV presenting to comedy.

The bit about STAR WARS is the only thing my teenage stepchildren have ever been impressed with.
